COMMITTMENT TO NUTRITION
The Pittsford Central School District food service department has made a dedicated, ongoing commitment over the last few years to purchase and promote whole grain foods for students at all grade levels. Most breads and rolls served in the district are whole wheat. Pancakes are whole wheat as are the French toast sticks this year. Even our corndogs and stuffed crust pizza are whole grain!
We are also making an effort to offer healthier options such as grilled chicken along side the crispy chicken. Last year we made the switch to romaine lettuce in our salads and brown rice replaced white rice.
Even in these days of high costs, we stand committed to serving our children nutritious meals on a daily basis.
